Our key employees receive OSHA 10/30 courses, CPR and First Aid, and other industry and trade specific certifications to ensure we employee a safe, educated work force to continue our high safety standard.
Safety is also maintained by regular third party job site inspections to ensure that the company standards are met everyday.
Empire is CCS Qualified
As part of our continued commitment, over 2015 and 2016, we became a CCS Qualified company. This CCS certification is a two year review process includes a lot of planning, training, and documentation, but also helps set us apart to show owners, construction managers, and contractors alike, that Empire is a company who practices what we preach.
MCAA WORKPLACE SILICA REMEDIATION PROGRAM TRAINER ON STAFF
Empire Contractors' Safety Director, Matt Bishop, has successfully completed the MCAA's Silica Train the Trainer course. Matt was trained to teach the Mason Contractors Association of America's Workplace Silica Remediation Program for Designated Competent People and the dangerous of silica in the workplace for employees.

EMPIRE SAFETY TRAINING
Our commitment to safety includes training for our field superintendents and foreman. In April of 2019, we conducted our annual safety training day. Employees who attended received training for General Safety Awareness. Topics in this training included: Aerial Lift, ACM Aware, Confined Space, Hazcom, Excavation, Fall Protection, Fork Lift, Lead Awareness, Lock Out/Tag Out, Silica, Rigging, Signaling, Scissor Lift, and Scaffold Competent.
